Open face turkey sandwich with turkey gravy over whole wheat 21-seed toast.
Cucumber salad with dill; sour cream and mascarpone dressing. Sliced red onion.
Partly homemade ginger kombucha. Finally, finally, finally got this first round done. I tasted it and it is incredibly delicious. Way more tasty than anything one can buy. However, per the usual, I can never get enough fizz, so I'm mixing it with orange kombucha that has a lot of fizz.
Dessert: watermelon, cherries, and red grapes.

Pasta to be decided at a later time. Herbs from the garden. Cukes, peppers and tomatoes. Ahhh, summer.

(457 posts)May I impose on you for the Kombucha recipe? I've tried some of those powdered Kombucha drink packages and like you I never seem to be able to get the perfect "fizz." Maybe, I'll try the powdered mix with Perrier water?
Hi, tarzanrock, Here's the link to the recipe I used:
https://www.pinterest.fr/pin/374924737724875426/
I used an infographic recipe because there are so many steps in kombucha that I feel like I get lost in the text. Also you have to wait and by the time I've done the waiting, I forgot where I was. It's easier to annotate an infographic recipe than a text recipe.
Actually once you do it a few times, you don't even need a recipe.
I didn't use a powdered kombucha package, but I ordered a scoby off Amazon that I had used before.

(1,760 posts)The chickpeas in the salad were rather a much of a muchness, but the avocado/buttermilk dressing was very, very tasty, and easy to make with an immersion blender.

(71,021 posts)We had Pasta Carbonara with chicken and bacon. and a fresh fruit salad...strawberries, Cantelope, and blueberries. I bought this new Water at a fresh market called HINT. It is not sweet but has a fruit essence. I really like it. I had points left (yup, Weight Watchers)...30 lbs from goal...this time for my heart, not vanity so I will do it. Thus, I had two cookies with some tea.

(508 posts)Second try at the pasta - I like it, DH doesn't. I guess I'll put it aside for now.
The ribs were great and we'll get a second meal out of them on one of my late work nights.
