Dining at Portuguese restaurant in Newark; having chicken francese.

1. Poutine

made with hand cut French fries, Wisconsin cheese curds, a homemade flavorful beef gravy.

2. Scallops, fresh asparagus

And salad with balsamic vinagrette.

4. Oh, shit. If today (Friday) is the 15th, I'm in doo-doo.

No, seriously....

Flatbread with roasted onions, some tomato bruschetta, sliced bbq'd chicken from last fall.

Or maybe a nightmare? I think I had a Frankenchicken short leg … there were 2 short leg bones on one piece with a double upper meat section … 😳

7. went to outback

blooming onion

baked potato butter / sour cream

wife and I ate the onion
and salad ate some of the steak and potato
and brought them home
really wanted the onion.

9. More lamb leftovers

today it's lamb ragu with rigatoni. Did you know that food processors do an adequate job of making ground meats out of leftover roasts? There will probably be enough leftover to freeze for future meals. And there are still about 2 meals left from the Easter leg of lamb! (And it was the smallest one they had. Good thing the stews made from the leftovers freeze well)

10. i made my grandma's stroganoff, tho i used invisible mushrooms cause i don't like them. as soon as

i discovered mushroom powder......over egg noodles.

11. Butterflied Leg of Lamb, marinated in lemon juice, oil, and garlic

and broiled to medium rare.

Roasted vegetables (potatoes, zucchini, onions, eggplant).

Spanakokorizo (Green Spinach and Rice).
