(37,889 posts)I made breakfast and misplaced it. It was half a ham sandwich, half an apple, and a slice of cheddar.
I took my coffee to the table where my computer is and went back for my breakfast and it's gone.
Looked around, couldn't find it. So I made another breakfast.
Same thing only I made it a full ham sandwich. Pomegranate kombucha.
Decaf coffee.
Here's to getting through your dental work this afternoon, irisblue!

(22,767 posts)to go to the electrical supply to pick up a capacitor for the AC unit. All's working well now. Thank goodness for handy husbands. Also stopped and picked up a new coffee maker and a new BP cuff.
Ran thru McD drive thru on the way and had bacon, egg and cheese biscuits (I could only eat half of mine.) I had a small OJ and he had a small mocha frappe w/no whipped cream (his usual), and a sausage biscuit to bring home for the dog.

(37,889 posts)Yes, you are indeed lucky not to have to deal with outside repairmen. You should see some of the estimates I have for work around here.
Now sometimes the RG can do that kind of stuff and other times...well, not so expertly. He tries. I still laugh at the thought of the door frame he repaired where I had to duck to go under it.
Sigh. At least I didn't have to go to that part of the house too often.

(22,767 posts)It's just short of a month since the vet gave her the antibiotic and steroid injections, so we'll see how things stand in another week or so.
And I spoke too soon on the AC. B went back outside to check and the fan had stopped turning again. I feel pretty certain he'll be able to fix it since he built the house and is an electronics wizard, which he did for a living for years. It could be the capacitor he picked up.

(37,889 posts)Now you'll have to make another trip, yes? 85 is too hot with no AC!

(22,767 posts)He came back in and said it wasn't the new capacitor. It's not the compressor, but the fan in the unit that appears to be the problem, so until he figures that out, still no AC. It's only 75 at the moment, but forecast shows high of 84 today (85 was forecasted for yesterday, but got to 89.)

(71,023 posts)so I had an egg, cheese, and ham sandwich today...when I first got home after heart surgery, everything tasted vile. I also had a homemade latte which tasted pretty good...first time!
