Have been at the hospital since 6a for an angiogram and then had to lay flat on my back in post-op for 6 hrs before I could leave. Didn't want hospital food and had sent husband home for a nap since neither of us slept much last night. So had to wait all day to eat.

pepperoni, ground beef, onion, garlic and extra cheese

Dad had pan-fried sirloin steak (with onions, peppers and mushroom), scalloped potatoes (from a box I found in his cabinet), and zucchini and yellow squash.

I've discovered that if you cook meats on the rare side, you can use a food processor to grind them into a small enough mince to make meatballs (it actually works better with raw meat, but I have the last of the leftover lamb roast and I will not throw out meats. Mixing it with an egg helps it hold together). So I mixed it with some Middle Eastern spices, made them into small balls with I got Mr. Retrograde to fry, and they're now simmering in some leftover tomato sauce. As a side, I found some frost-touched artichokes at the grocery a few days ago so those are being steamed.
