Started it with slices of stick pepperoni, sauteed and then dumped in with the grease, made meatballs from a mix of ground chuck and Italian sausage. Going to have rigatoni, rather than angel hair, for a nice change.

Roast in the crock pot
with the usual - onions, celery, carrots. The potatoes were a mixture of small colorful potatoes we bought on sale. One variety was purple.

There was going to be a pancake supper before the Ash Wednesday service at church, but there's an ice storm here.

Something simple my cornbread is more like corn pudding or spoon bread
Use cream corn instead of water. So it doesn’t get crispy.

We’re having ham steaks, macaroni & cheese and a tomato salad. Chocolate chip cookies.

With roasted red pepper strips, green olives, sauce containing Italian sausage and wayyyyy too much mozzarella.

I was getting up this morning for a little more coffee, with plenty of time before I had to get ready for work. Then I heard the plows go by. The curb-to-curb plowing wasn't supposed to happen till tonight, and I assumed they were just going down the center of the road. Nope - they could get all the way to the curb on my part of the block and they did. Nice big driveway hump. If language was electricity, I'd have fried their batteries. So, when I got back inside, already late for work, I figured I might as well start some dough.

Then work closed mid-day and we're closed tomorrow, too. We're supposed to hunker down and not go out (except to shovel). I already have Friday and Saturday off. Heat's on, I've got plenty of food on hand, and with the amount of exercise I'm going to be getting, I don't give a rat's ass about calories.
