I was doing calculations on squirrel calorie needs

I read that a 500 g squirrel needs 140 calories a day. A human weighing 140 pounds or 68,000 g needs 2000 calories a day.

So a squirrel needs to eat 28% in calories of its weight each day.

And a human needs to 3% in calories of its weight each day.

(I don't know if I am using the correct logic, but I think that works out right).

Squirrels really need to eat a lot. It works out to giving them 25 almonds a day minimum. I used to think giving them 5 would fulfill their needs for the day, ha!

That may be a sign that you are going nuts!

Did you also know that squirrels, surprisingly, can live up to 25-years? So, yeah, that one with the dull fur and snarled tail may have been around for a while, so don't tell them your secrets.
