Hormone release

I have been losing weight via low carb, but my question applies to anyone, especially women, who have burned off some fat.

Has anyone noticed symptoms of estrogen being released from storage in fat cells as they empty? I went through menopause about three years ago and after 30 lbs weight loss, I suddenly feel really sore like I always did prior to my monthly cycle. I have done some reading online and have found other people mentioning that this can happen. I have reached an acceptable weight for my height, but may be gradually continuing to lose. I don't know if it worked this way, but I weigh what I did in my late 30s now, when my hormones were going strong.
