Is there an abortion pill for when your 6-8 weeks pregnant?

I'm only familiar with the morning-after pill, which is supposed to prevent a pregnancy. An acquaintance who said she was about 7 weeks pregnant told me she received a prescription for a single pill that would initiate an abortion, which her doctor gave her after discussing with her that her uterine walls were too thin to support a pregnancy. She said, however, that she spontaneously aborted, and never even got the prescription filled. Afterwards, I was wondering -- what pill is she talking about?

i am not doing research on the validity. i hadnt ever heard of it, but not a conversation i have with women friends. seems like very few women talk about their experience. so i probably lack in knowledge.

I've done it twice. It's horrible but not as bad as the other method. I could write a tome about my experiences combined with my best friend. Nobody wants to know about it.

Women friends you talk about everything with. That and rape. Another one few of us talk about, in my experience.

Rape and abortion are related and women are supposed to shut up about both. It's because we get attacked for both. Raped? Whore! Abortion? Whore! Have a rape baby? No food stamps or medicaid for you you needy whore who can't get pregnant from rape!
I wish this society would get a clue.

I've taken it. Drug facts here: http://www.fda.gov/downloads/Drugs/Drugsafety/ucm088643.pdf
They do it as a combination here; you take the mifeprex in office while the Dr. Is watching. Then at home sometime later you take the misoprostol buccally holding it there for like 30 minutes. You'll be better in a few days.
