Oxygen equipment issues . . .

I've been a customer of Lincare for about twenty years, getting all of my oxygen supplies through them. But their service level has been declining for quite some time, now. They closed the local office, sending a letter explaining that the move would "help us to better serve you," never mind that the nearest office is now some 40 miles away. So, gone are the days when I could drop in to get cannulas or a new regulator.

Just spent nearly an hour on the phone with them trying to sort out some issues with concentrator and bi-pap. She was polite, but it seemed as though she had no idea what I was talking about. She said I'd have to get my doctor to re-order all my machines. Huh? So, I called my pulmonologist's office and explained the situation to the nurse, and she was as surprised as me. Now, I wait.

Has anyone else had problems with Lincare?

with Lincare. I worked in the DME/O2 business for about 7 years. It's a horrible field.

Lincare was by far my worse employer, I don't even want to go into the details.

Rotech is another bad one Try to choose a smaller independent one, but they are not always better.

The fraud these guy bill Medicare and private insurance is obscene.

They sent his account to collections and we had quite a fight to get it resolved. They have tons of BBB complaints filed against them. We are with Aerocare now and have had great care and service. How long it will last, we don't know.

I have had a horrible time with them- Called Medicare who had a three way call with us- It certainly got their attention- I get my cannulas and tubing from Softhose.com- It is a dream- lies flat on the floor / no kinks- Absolutely superior !
I pay for this but it is well worth it-
The guy who owns the company makes it-
If you have trouble with Lincare get your insurance company involved. Their patient advocate is in their Florida (home) office .In my case the guy over supplies was fired- This was after 3 three way calls-
