I need advice on contacting the doctor's office -

I had bloodwork drawn two weeks ago at the rheumotologist's to determine if I have an autoimmune disease and what severity, etc. This is followup on bloodwork done by my GP. They're doing 20 different tests. Now, the followup appointment isn't until the first week in June. I called yesterday to ask if I could get a copy of the results, but after wading through the phone tree could only leave a message on someone's machine.

The reason I called is that I'd like to know what's going on, how much is in my head and how much is real.

Is it reasonable to ask for a copy of the lab work before I see the doctor again?

Should I call back again if I don't hear back? If so, how soon?

to go over them and interpret them for you. I know you want to know you're not crazy, but the best advice I can give you is just wait another two weeks to find out.

Some of the autoimmune panel takes forever, so likely the results aren't all back quite yet.

It sucks, but sometimes we just need to wait it out.

one thing when you are checking on your cholesterol for the 5th time, another when it is an initial dx. you might just freak out over something that is harmless.
i know the wait sucks.

I hope you let us know how you are. I'll wait with you 'til you find out.

It won't be all in your head, I'm sure. (I know that feeling)
