I got a letter from UHC saying that my chiropractor won't be in network any more. Fuck. This guy actually helped me with my back pain. Now what am I supposed to do?

(5,075 posts)Sometimes the copayment is higher than the actual contracted fee. Check on the fees.
If you have a high deductible out of network Ask if they will accept the in-network fee schedule. Let them know if you are having money trouble and they may help you out.

(3,927 posts)always work something out. And they've been more than flexible. Same with my neurologist. I saw him for free for years under a program here called Project Access, which is for low income adults without health insurance. When I joined the federal high risk insurance plan, it left me unable to afford my neurology appointments. He charges me half the regular fee, which is affordable for me since his regular fees are actually more reasonable than most neurologists I've seen in the past.
