My wife is having a workup there today for recurrent thyroid cancer.
Any suggestions, observations, or advice ... all welcome.

(15,111 posts)What I can tell you is that they Were on my list of top 3 hospitals that have my treatment at. I decided to go with Johns Hopkins because of location and family in Baltimore

(12,749 posts)Who survived for ten years with stage four lung cancer being treated at MSK. He thought they were wonderful, though he complained that their responsiveness declined after COVID. But I think medical care declined overall after COVID.
Anyway, they are in the vanguard.

(2,326 posts)As his wife was dying of breast cancer, he thought MSK was more interested in filling their clinical trials than in curing her. He said they pressed her to take new untested treatments which "might save her life" rather than go with more proven treatments. She died, and he remains bitter.

(6,401 posts)Colon resection and lung lobectomy to remove a lung metastasis. Prophylactic chemo following the surgeries. So far, so good.
Two thumbs up. I feel the need for more thumbs.

(4,209 posts)An aquaintance went there for multiple myeloma and is still in remission, about 10 years later.
