Got my full diagnosis.

T2N1 Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the base of my tongue.

HPV +p16

Surgery is back on the table, and would not be as invasive as told yesterday. All Lymph nodes on the right side will be taken out along with a small chunk of the base of my tongue. Tuesday should be the day I learn what they have decided.

I don't know anything about that particular diagnosis, so will just keep quiet and wish you the best!

Cancer is a bit of a rollercoaster - not because you don't know what will happen (although often you don't) but more likely it's just you get told one thing (good or bad), take it to heart, but on the next interpretation (or scan) it's something totally different. That's why we just try to take it day by day and not speculate too much on the future.

Hope yours goes well! Sounds like the finally got the diagnosis nailed!

Best,

- Tab

When home health comes by, I will ask about support groups.

Mine is stage III, SCC at the base of my tongue, and one node in my neck. HPV +P16
