Double whammy!

Two years ago, my wife was losing her battle with breast cancer and succumbed in February of 2012. Now, her brother's wife is going through the same thing. The sad part is, he lost his first wife 20 yrs ago to breast cancer. I hurt for him. No one should have to go through this twice.

Thoughts are with your brother. I know things like this happen, but he shouldn't have to go through this once, much less twice (and sorry in your case too). Heartbreaking is a good word.

sorry to hear that Uben. I know how hard
that was for him then and now for him to have to go through it again is really heartbreaking.
I'm also sorry that his wife has this horrible disease.
I hope that you're doing ok.

Taking life one day at a time. Kinda been stuck in a rut lately, but I think its mainly just the onset of cold weather. Just can't seem to get motivated to do some of things I should be doing.

I think the cold weather does that to a lot of people. I know it does me. Sometimes I just need a good swift kick to get me in gear! lol
I'm glad to hear that you're doing well.

Some people seem to get shit on so much. It's just not fair. I'm not trying to compete with you, but before I got my cancer diagnosis (rectal cancer with metastasis to lung, age 34), I lost my job that I was bullied at and was hit by a car that broke some bones and smashed up my face a bit. Once I recovered, bam.....bad constipation. Turns out to be cancer.

My point is that it seems like some of us were put on this Earth to be constantly shit on. Your poor brother.......it isn't fucking fair. For him, for you, and especially for his poor wife.

Why does cancer have to be so damn horrible. Why doesn't it go get Dick Cheney and leave the rest of us alone. Ha...maybe it's because cancers on society can't get cancers of the body.

My thoughts are with you, Uben.

Good one, Evoman. Try to keep a positive attitude. Kris Carr (kriscarr.com) beat back her cancer with diet and exercise to the point it's not getting worse and she's energetic and happy now.

I agree with the getting shit on part---I ask myself, "Why can't I catch a break?"

But the fact is I should have gotten a colonoscopy earlier. I ignored it for 10 yrs. until I was sick and then it was too late.
