How did everyone do getting through St. Patrick's Day?

It's a trigger holiday for me.

Did an online meeting in the morning, had brunch at my non-Irish in-laws and then went to my folks for CB&C and The Quiet Man. I was supposed to march in the NYC parade on Saturday (I'm a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians), but decided it was not a good idea this year. The good majority of folks ages 16-80 who march drink...heavily. Didn't want to put myself in an uncomfortable position.

Not being Irish I have never been big on the celebration even though I did some back in the day...Always a good idea to stay away from slippery spots. Good to be aware of what and where they are...

it's March 16th, anniversary of my grandmother's death. It's a tough day.

But with 22 years of her gone and 21 years sober, it's OK.

I had the first of my home Big Book studies with my sponsees and their sponsees (8 women all together), then worked one on one with one of the girls. Then made a nice dinner for hubby and myself and the day was over.

Paddy's Day is no big deal.

Sounds like you made good choices to get you through too!
