to greatly reduce the cravings, so have been eating a sandwich or bowl of soup or somesuch about every hour. (A lot of liquid helps too). No, I haven't had any of the wrong kind of liquid yet, and its very unlikely now. And I haven't even had my regular dinner yet, I'm just about to start it.
Learned that in my drinking days and early sober days, I would be thinking of going to McDonalds and then to the bar, but after McDonalds, I found that I really didn't care to go to the bar.

I always say now that I confused my cravings. All roads led to drinking for me then.
Now, like you say, go to McDs and craving filled, no need for anything else.
There's another member in the group who eats a bowl of ice cream. I've started that myself.
