Watched Ad Astra last 2 nights. Now we are back to binging Leftovers

Ad Astra...nice music, nice concept, ultimately ho hum for my wife and I.

We loved The Leftovers the first time....let some time pass now are rewatching it in binge mode. Simply incredible, an all time favorite of ours

I can watch something like Star Wars or a superhero movies as fantasy but "Gravity" didn't work for me.

"The Martian," a similar "realistic" movie, wasn't so bad. Even though it was set on a Mars that doesn't exist in our universe, it was for the most part internally consistent. The physics of its imaginary universe got bent at times but didn't bounce all over the place and give me a headache.

The physics of "Gravity" was just lazy, bending and twisting and shaking to suit the story, and without any Doctor Strange in the background to account for that. I've heard the same about Ad Astra.
