Very pertinent for today. Excellent acting, well worth watching. We are half way through.
Edit. Done. Written in 2004, but how clairvoyant for today's trumpmesses.

(937 posts)Was horrified at the scene where the swastika was displayed in the White House at the state dinner for von Ribbentrop. Jesus. The series was almost more terrifying than what we see every day now. Almost.

(245 posts)I hope others may watch and realize how quickly things are changing today very much like in the show. But I fear they never will until constitution is totally shredded.

(12,883 posts)Really worth watching. A little stilted at times but that goes with the territory and it's why they were wise to use the POV of a kid for most of it. A real standout performance from Anthony Boyle as the kid's adult cousin who goes off to Canada to kill Nazis because America is sitting out the war. Turns out, the actor's from Northern Ireland but he convinced me he was from New Jersey. What is most prescient about the story is the drip-drop normalization of things we used to consider unthinkable.
