Anyone watch "A Family Man"? (Spoiler alert)

I saw it yesterday and was wondering what folks thought of it. I thought it was very predictable. Although, what surprised me was how much of an asshole the Gerard Butler character was. And even when his son is diagnosed with cancer, he never really changed. He became slightly more human, but never what you'd call a family man, by any means. What a huge waste of time.

Gerard Butler isn't a good enough actor to portray any real depth of character. He's all right for a part like Beowulf or a Spartan ruler, but give him a more complex character like Erik in The Phantom of the Opera and he's flat. The only thing he has going for him is looks, and that's fading.
(I'm just a crusty old actor, who believes in earning one's status on stage through hard work and dedication to the Art!)
