Just finished watching Season 2 of Absentia on Amazon

Acting was pedestrian, filming was terrible. So many scenes in the dark, half the time you couldn't see what was going on. Chase scenes and others were drawn out way to long. I ff through some of them. FIlmed in Bulgaria, was supposed to be Boston.

Lead actress was Stana Katic, (also executive producer) and thought she was terrible, either that or the script really was bad. Not really one character you could connect with or really like. All of them were screwed up and acting was either very stiff or overboard.

At one point in S2 Emily (lead Character) and Cal her FBI partner, are escaping Bulgarian mobsters and they end up with nothing, no clothes, weapons, ID's passports, nothing. But then you see them back in the FBI headquarters in Boston. No explanation on how they managed that.

Watched season 1 (2018)and was surprised there was a S2 (2019), So watched that to see if it was any better. Nope.

If Season 3, I probably won't watch.

1. I'm starting to wonder if all the dark scenes in films and tv are a plot from cable companies

to fight back at streaming. I can't tell you how many shows I've tried to stream on a laptop or ipad that were impossible to actually view through more than 40% of the content.

Infuriating.

I watched s1 of Absentia. It was ok, but i'd agree with your assessment. I really don't care to watch s2.
