UPDATE: Anybody else having problems with their Amazon Prime membership?

Last edited Thu Apr 25, 2019, 09:06 PM - Edit history (1)

I was watching series via my Prime membership when it suddenly began asking for payment. So I went to Amazon online and I get the message: "Important Message - Unable to display prime membership information try again."

Even clicking on the direct Prime link doesn't give me any more info.

UPDATE: Prime seems to be fixed! I'm now streaming Eureka on Prime - which is where I was going when the system glitched.

At least that is where I suspect my packages have been going. Some house "with a garage and a dog." We have neither a garage or a dog so it wasn't our house. But the package did not arrive at my house and I had to get Amazon to replace it. I wonder what the asshole across the street did with my husband's shoes?

to my wife on our steps. Noticed after I cut it opened but before I dove into it. Never saw what it was but it was embarrassing bringing it over.

I still order from Amazon occasionally but can generally get them sent to a pick up point, in my area usually any UPS Store. That way they don't just toss them in the yard or at the neighbors. More trouble for me but saves worrying about the package. They have a new thing in our area called amazon locker at several locations and they just leave the package in a locked box at a public location (Whole Foods is one here) and send me a bar code and a pin number to open the lock box....next the drones, no doubt....

6. If I live in town I would do that

But I am retired and live on a farm a half hour drive from town. In addition I am recovering from surgery and have not tried driving yet so having packages brought to my door is a wonderful convenience.

I've tried getting deliveries to my PO Box but the local post office is very disorganized about their deliveries. When I complain the manager tells me to just call Amazon for a replacement. I suspect someone there is getting a lot of goods for free.

I used to live in a rural area and enjoyed it a lot but had to move into town to look after my mom. I may live in the country again someday but for now I can't. My rural deliveries were similarly hit and miss so I understand. Cheers, WC

But every time I get one thing fixed something else shows up. Getting old sucks.
