"With Love, Meghan" on Netflix or "How to watch Netflix and feel like you need a lobotomy."

Let me get this out of the way first. I like Meghan. I like Prince Harry. I read his book and found the story he told to be heartbreaking. I also found the way that Meghan was treated by the British public, The British media, and the Royal family to be racist and disgraceful. I have always thought Meghan and Harry to be sincere and charming and I am sure they are both very nice people.

HOWERVER.....

This show is awful. It is difficult to process how it ever got a green light. It simply is the most insipid half hour of nonsensical babbling I ever watched. I forced myself to watch the first episode to the end because I wanted to test my level of tolerance for meaninglessness. At least I wasn't thinking about how Donald Trump was destroying the country while I was watching Meghan make candles out of beeswax with her favorite makeup artist. Someone, btw, she has known for decades but didn't seem to know whether he liked tomatoes or that he was left handed.
You also get to see Meghan put strawberries on a cake.
She tells us at least 3 times that the house where we are watching Meghan at "home" is not her house, but rather a rental property down the road. Why you ask? She wanted to protect her privacy. O.K.

*The feeling that watching this show requires a lobotomy was borrowed from one of the scores of scathing reviews one can purview online.

**And BTW, for reasons unknown, Netflix has apparently renewed With Love, Meghan for season 2. 🧐

and grifting off the public. They could afford to stay out of the public if they lived off welfare, as his brother, sister in law and father do. I wish them well.

So, they don't just hide away on the public "dole." Whether or not that service is any kind of justification for maintaining the monarchy is not for me to say. But the Brits have long allowed it to continue.

By contrast, Harry and Meghan do not HAVE to be in the public eye to earn a living. When Harry gave up his royal privileges, that was no longer expected. They simply thought they could grift off of their past celebrity instead of finding alternate employment or develop a business not requiring that ongoing celebrity. Well, the public is pretty fickle about their celebrities- no matter how undeserving the ones in current vogue might be. Thus, I'm not surprised that has not worked out for them.

that the royal family lives on welfare. Hell, have servants dress me up and I go out and shake a few hand and cut a few ribbons. Wow, that really seems stressful and hard work. Please, I am not going to go back and forth defending the billionaire class, whether they are the tech bros in our country our the British royal. End of conversation for me.

and the Brits seem to think whatever they do for their 'welfare' suffices. No one here is defending the billionaire class-certainly not me. Yet, that level of entitlement is why so many are turning against Meghan and Harry.

It is your inconsistencies that are making it hard for you to debate and thus to withdraw from the conversation. Whatever helps.

Just as those who purportedly voted for lower egg prices voted against Kamala. And I have every right to comment on the British because they came into my country and tried to colonize it. Additionally, there are many in this country who support tsf. Does that make him and his policies right? Keep defending the billionaire class. It's okay. Many in this country also support the billionaire class.

but, their own entitlement behavior has made them both hypocrites. Harry is worth $60 million inherited from his mother's will alone.

Nowhere have I defended the billionaire class. You need to get a grip as that is deceitful and I have every reason to call you on it.

You could feel the awkwardness coming off the computer screen. She was so uncomfortable that I felt uncomfortable.

Like I said, I have always liked Meghan. I could give it a second chance.

It's a relaxing show to just veg out to. Takes my mind off stressful things because I can completely turn my brain off.

The show is so bad, it's good. I think Meghan is pretty and I enjoy watching her.

I rather enjoyed it.

First let me say, I have chronic insomnia and am awake in the middle of the night,,,, I watch TV & nap & watch & nap until early morning,,,, I want to watch shows that are mellow,,,, no police dramas, no heavy duty medical shows,,,, just fun light entertainment,,,, This fit the bill,,, in a week or so, I'll watch it again because of the napping part of what I do.

I find her very likeable and enjoy her style. To me, working on a TV show is just that ~ working. So I don't think she is entitled at all. My choice to watch, your choice not to watch. It's all good.
