After about 5 episodes in, I asked my husband to watch it and he got hooked. Now I can’t watch it without him!

so real, flawed, intense, interesting and complex. Intense relationships and great plots.

Have only seen one episode so far but I like it.

Just wondering if you have a comparison. I teach HS English and my teacher/best friend loves Slaughter (she teaches mystery lit).

Bosch lives in the world of Lincoln Lawyer (Connelly wrote both).

I will for sure read the Will Trent stuff (or my bestie will be on my ass), but just wondering about a comparison.

Also love The Diplomat (And the Americans if you haven’t already see it). I hadn’t gotten around to Ted Lasso until recently and it is my favorite series, by far, in years!

Another show which I am liking, also an ABC show on Hulu, and I cannot for the life of me tell you why I like it, is Not Dead Yet.

I love good detective procedurals, like Monk and Psyche, and the excellent Peacock series Poker Face. These series usually have a protagonist with a special crime-solving talent (usually "a blessing and a curse" ) like Adrian Monk's OCD and Shawn Spencer's childhood training by his cop dad, but Will Trent's is especially interesting: having grown up in the foster care system, he can tell when things and people are not quite right, and takes careful inventory of his surroundings, something he had to do to survive a series of abusive foster parents. This history is also the reason he adopts Betty, a murder victim's adorable chihuahua, and while watching each episode I'm more concerned Betty is safe than that the crime is solved.
