Netflix: Web of Make Believe: Ep 2: Seth Rich
Im still shaken from episode 1. Shows how toxic the online gaming community can be.
Andrew Finch killed by trigger happy cop Justin Rapp after swatting incident. I didnt pay a lot of attention to this story when it was in the news. The tragedy of that night and what followed is mind numbing. Qualified immunity lets another murderer off the hook. The gamer punks face some justice.
Im now watching EP 2 which chronicles the Seth Rich conspiracies. I had no idea how weird this had gotten including someone involved in the conspiracies getting shot.
Fox and GOP operatives should be ashamed of taking advantage of Seths parents.
Overall, seems to be good for a day of binge watching.
Trigger warning: This series covers suicide.

(11,258 posts)Okay, I live in the DC area. Crime is (and always has been) rampant. However, there are a few outstanding cases like Seth Rich that make one wonder if the person blamed for it actually did it. My personal conspiracy theory is that Mr. Rich found out about Russian shenanigans with the DNC server and was offed by the FSB to keep him quiet. The FSB probably framed some generic street thug to make it look like a robbery gone bad.

(6,221 posts)No one was framed, except for the victim smeared by wingnuts.
IMO, most likely it was a robbery gone bad and trump, fox and his minions took advantage of this tragedy to smear democrats.
On another note, another episode covers white supremacists and the Unite the right rally. They openly talked about running people over with cars before it happened. The open talk about violence beforehand, same with the insurrection. When will these terrorists be treated as the threat to society that they are?
Groups of white men openly plotting violence. Imagine brown or black people
., no need to finish that sentence, we know how that would end.
