YouTube TV is confusing.
I recently signed up for YouTube TV, which is a streaming service that I can get through my Roku device. But I'm finding it very non-intuitive. Stuff that should be easy isn't.
Sometimes I stop watching in the middle of a movie or in an episode of a TV show. When I come back, I would like to continue from where I stopped, but that doesn't seem to happen. Instead, I have to start from the beginning and fast forward through what I already watched. Grrrr.

It should start you where you left off
Or go to your library
You need to be recording the program
See post #8, I was assuming you were when I wrote my original reply
I have been using YouTube tv for almost 2 years and Roku for 10
So if you got questions, just post and I will try to help
Fyi I record everything I watch so I avoid commercials
For example
If you are recording a program and it's been recording for a half hour, if you go to the live screen and click on that program you should get a window on screen that ask you if you want to join live or start from beginning
On sports you get the above two options and if you want to catch up just viewing key plays

(12,252 posts)When you go to their channel it says fox wants to much. Give them a try maybe? I think ATT owns it so not much better. You tube always asks me to join and I was tempted. Thanks for the heads up. I like easy.

(1 post)I understand how frustrating that can be! YouTube TV on Roku does have some quirks when it comes to playback and recording. If you're looking for a way to pause live TV or record shows so you can resume them later, you might find these guides helpful:
How you can Pause Live TV on Roku – Learn how to use Roku’s Live TV Pause feature to temporarily stop and resume live broadcasts.
How you can Record on YouTube TV Roku – This guide explains how to use YouTube TV’s DVR feature to record shows and movies, allowing you to pick up where you left off.
Using YouTube TV’s cloud DVR can be a great workaround since recorded content typically resumes from where you stopped. Hope this helps!
