Mr. Femmedem and I loved Heartstopper on Netflix.

If you're looking for something that's sometimes funny, sometimes serious and always heartwarming without being Hallmarky and saccharine, you might love it, too. It's an eight-episode miniseries with half-hour episodes about a group of LGBTQ British high school friends who look out for each other, and the relationship that develops between one and ... well, no spoilers.

It's got a 100 on the Tomatometer, and 97% of the audience reviews are favorable, too.

It's a great antidote to any anger or despair you might be feeling over the state of our union.

You definitely don't need to be LGBTQ to love it.

I have watched the entire series multiple times. It's a great series for when the anxiety tries to take a strong hold of my brain. It's beautiful and hopeful and joyful.

I'm excited that they renewed it for seasons 2 and 3.

The actors and writer are also top notch humans and have been doing a ton for LGBTQ rights.

It's brilliantly done and wonderfully acted by the young cast, and I swear I was on the edge of my seat at times, like watching a thriller, because you want things to turn out okay for the kids. And it has Olivia Colman.

I've really been enjoying it. It's pretty edgy but very well written and acted.

There are three seasons of it. All one hour episodes! One of the actors is going to be the new Dr. Who!
