If you liked/loved Ozark, Poldark, Little Fires Everywhere, Love (Netflix)

Wanted (Australian), Borgen (Danish), Dead to me, Anatomy of a Scandal, The Affair, Shameless, & Downton Abbey to name a few, what would you recommend to watch next?

I know not a genre, but would describe as a mix of "family ( seemingly normal people), epic, intrigue, romance, maybe murder ( not the CSI kind), dramedy, politics, revenge, if foreign dubbed easy to understand, no subtitles, cheer for the little guy."

Tall order, eh. We have probably seen it all

Those three are all HBO shows. The first two I suggested because you liked Little Fires Everywhere, and the third because of Downton Abbey. (The Gilded Age is also from the pen of Julian Fellowes.) Since you liked both Poldark and Downton Abbey, there are a lot of great shows on PBS Masterpiece you might like. For instance, The Durrells in Corfu is a delightful dramedy about a family in the 1930s who move to a Greek island (I secretly want to live there!). That seems to fit some of your genre criteria. There are some period dramas on Starz that you might like, too, like The White Queen or even Outlander. Others here have mentioned Better Call Saul and Fargo. I agree with those choices. Both are outstanding crime dramas with finely drawn and superbly acted characters. We seem to have similar tastes, so if I think of anything else, I will come back to your thread and add it.

It’s a spin off of Breaking Bad. A lighter, funnier theme, however.

on television! Both shows were created by Vince Gilligan, who is brilliant. This is cinematic television at its best! That applies to both shows.

Did you watch Breaking Bad? As noted above, it's a spin-off from Breaking Bad, but it holds its own as a stand-alone, too. It takes a while to get to the story of Saul Goodman ("S'all good, man&quot because to know and understand him, you need to first know Jimmy McGill, but that's a great story, too! Vince Gilligan, the creator, is a masterful storyteller. His cinematography is more like what we see in films than in TV shows, so watch for that. This is truly cinematic television. It's a slow burn at first, but the pace will pick up, and the current final season is a wild ride!

Hotel de Luna on Netflix gorgeous Korean series 24 episodes

Madame Secretary is very good.
I love Brooklyn 99 on Hulu. If you have never seen Malcolm in the Middle, it is on Hulu.

Leverage and Leverage Redemption - definitely not to be missed. It's on Amazon/IMDB. Leverage is 5 seasons and Redemption is 1. Watch Redemption after you watch original Leverage. These are good old long con stories. The bad guys always get what they deserve.

Umbrella Academy; Norsemen (a sendup of Vikings) The Worst Witch
Three animated ones we loved: Kotaro Lives Alone; The Piano in the Forest; Hilda

I was teary eyed at the end. Some of it didn't seem as funny as when it first started, so I'm glad they decided to end it. Still can't believe Jane Fonda is almost 85, though all the plastic surgery is starting to make her mouth look odd. I wish women wouldn't do that to themselves.

Penguin Town on Netflix.

About a species of rare penguins who come ashore in South Africa every year to mate and end up interacting with the humans who live there. The most remarkable thing is it's largely told from the point of view of individual penguins, who all have names like "Mr. and Mrs. Culvert, Junior, Lord and Lady Courtyard." Lord and Lady Courtyard can be seen going through someone's house to get to the ocean, obviously with the cooperation of the humans (called giants) who live there. The narrator represents the thoughts of the penguins, often with a great deal of humor.

Utterly delightful. I watched it twice and still turn it on from time to time.
