(4,635 posts)WFPB diets have benefits, for sure, but it's so hard to make the change this food revolution summit recommends for your unique microbiome, heart, and brain health...

(492 posts)to show some benefits. I started in late 2019 because there was a flyer for a new program called healthy hearts at my cardiologist's office. Covid helped in a way because most were staying at home, not gathering or going out.
My interest was to reduce meds and keep up with my grown children, a side benefit was a slow weight loss and wearing clothes that have not fit for years. I do not follow a WFPB diet 100% of the time, closer to 80%, give or take depending on the week But I've reduced meds, lost weight and saw a significant drop in my cholesterol, not sure where it is now because I've been straying too much lately. It takes time but you get used to different things.
