The last time I went to the pain doctor I had a new RN and after I told her that I used muscle relaxants to sleep, (they are not addictive and they frigging work) she said, "I'm not going to renew that because that is not what it's for.
I've been on this medication for a long time. Physicians have prescribed it. And now some woman who could have sat on her couch for 4 or 5 years tells me that she is making the decision that I should not be on that drug.
Of course I barely slept last night.

(17,648 posts)No, they cant diagnose and treat patients. They cant even draw blood. The AMA is upset that ARNPs are infringing on their market.

(4,633 posts)I'd make another appointment and see some one else at that clinic (if that's who prescribed the drugs originally). Medical folks have opinions and beliefs that differ from one another and sometimes conflict with what a patient needs/wants. Also I would never see that person again.

(22,997 posts)let me. There is an appointment scheduled with the ARNP again. Maybe I can call and ask
