Meaning that I didn't have to be hospitalized.
For 2+ weeks, strange cough (20+ coughs in a row and inability to inhale during the campaign); loss of smell and taste; and knees that are very weak and can't readily hold my weight. Still have the latter but lessened.
My theory of what happened: I had asymptomatic beginning of Covid when I got my booster. And you're warned not to get the booster if you have Covid. Well, live and learn. Next time, a Covid home test or two before going for my shot.

(3,374 posts)It sounds that you had a middle-range COVID onslaught. Thank you for your advice about being sure of negative COVID status before obtaining the booster shot.

(48,813 posts)The first rodeo with Covid Lite was February, 2019, before Covid had a name.
Same symptoms and experience, save for the legs.
I didn't know I had Covid until four months later when I went to donate blood. My lab tech told me I had Covid antibodies in my blood. I didn't connect to the February event until he told me.

Hope you feel much better soon!

(113,130 posts)For me, it was one day of feeling really bad, two days of not feeling good, then a week of coughing up the glop. It wasn't anywhere near as bad as the original Covid I had in March 2020., a two week horror show.
I'm glad you're feeling better. The vax does work as advertised: you might get a light case but it won't kill you.
