Has anyone had a colonoscopy at UC Irvine lately?

I read a Forbes article from a few years ago (an interview with Dr. Samarasena) that they were researching doing a less restrictive preparatory diet and I'm wondering what that's like and whether it would be worth the additional inconvenience to go there for mine?

I'd love to hear more...Irvine is a fair distance for me. Of course no matter who I go to, there's the colon cleanse, but what is UC Irvine's prep diet like now? The best I could find near me is a whole week of low fiber diet, which is basically food I never eat. I worry about doing it for so long.

I don't know if it is a similar change, but with my last one three years ago the prep was considerably different, not as harsh. This was at UNC Hospital. Will be doing another one just after Christmas.
