Anybody out there have a hemilaminectomy?

I will be having one end of January. Have to wait due to having a steroid injection in my spinal area which did not help one bit. Doc said he can offer me a hemi and I said yes. My leg pain is horrible and I can't walk more than 40 steps or so. This has been since last March and is just getting worse. I am exhausted. TIA for any replies.

6. Didn't know the name of that surgery,

but a neurologist has told me he wants to do that or some other kind of surgery to relieve pain I have in my arm and leg. I’m not going to do it until it gets worse. I’m not eager to have back surgery. I’ve seen a lot of people get messed up by back surgery. If you’re having unbearable pain, though, you really have no choice but to give it a try. I wish you the very best of luck. Hopefully it will be successful and your pain will be taken away.
