Both my son and his boyfriend are sick with covid, AGAIN.

This time omicron. Both work in healthcare and I'm sure one got it from the other. They are both vaxxed and boostered and young & healthy so I'm not too worried.

About a fourth (guessing) of our workforce at the clinic is out sick.

I had a headache off and on all weekend and then when I got up this morning. Ibuprofen worked well so I went to work. I arrived for my shift, as usual, at 1:30 and about 3:30 I had to leave my station to run to the bathroom where I was violently ill. My boss got a replacement for me around 5:30.

Arrrrrgh!

Oddly, my son and his S.O. have much worse symptoms with this one than with the Delta. Laffy Kat Jan 2022 #8

I noticed the line for drive-thru covid testing was wrapping around the building and down the street. I can't get a test for myself until Friday, although I think I can pull some strings and get in earlier or find another location. They always have no shows at the last minute. It's crazy right now, just crazy.
When. Will. It. End?

I think that's a story we're going to hear frequently over the next few weeks.

Now that I'm at home and in bed with both doggos at my feet and my kitteh at my side (purring like an engine) I feel much better.
