(27,710 posts)Those were both very large stage 3 studies with tens of thousands of participants. The likelihood that there would be such diverse results between placebo and vaccine is virtually zero.

(13,893 posts)By that, I mean is this vaccine something you take once and youre good for years/decades. Or is it like a flu vaccine which you need every year. I know the Pfizer vaccine requires two shots at different times but I am lumping that into the once and done category.
I fear that if this vaccine needs to be administered yearly, were never going back to the way things were as people will refuse a yearly vaccination or fail to obtain one, much like the typical flu strains every year, except COVID is far more contagious and lethal.
