Everyone is welcome here.

Discrimination in any shape or form is not allowed here. Discriminating against the discriminators is allowed, but take all the fights to H&M. This is a safe haven. And also, please communicate to Gormy Cuss about locked posts or bannings. She doesn't bite.

The usual topics:
Feminist books
Feminist articles
Female historical figures
Equal career opportunities
Equal rights
Equal pay
Voting rights
Reproductive freedom
Better health care
Better daycare
Control over one’s own body
The destruction the media creates.
The impact we have on men.
Male feminists.
And of course, the ability to wear pants!

Tell me if I missed anything.

To counteract some confusion: there was a change of leadership, and this is partially why there are two new groups called History of Feminism and Feminism and Diversity. I recently handed off my leadership. Thanks for reading.

Well hells bells. You know how much consternation could have been avoided had you told us that?

Great post.

4. From a political perspective, it's interesting to see the narrative unfolding in this election year

To wit, this may shape up to be an election driven by many social isses; issues which our Democratic president is using and courting his progressive supporters with.

Reproductive freedom, LGBT equality..

whereas the GOP would really, really, really like to change the subject.

It flips the "values voter" narrative we were subjected to throughout the 'aughts (I can call em that, now, can't I?) right on its head, and it verifies what I've been saying for a while; they're NOT all powerful, in fact the US population is way more liberal leaning than the PTBs give them credit for.

This is why the anti-choicers are so shocked, for instance, when they play one of these Komen or Foster Freiss games and then are hit with a massive backlash from a clear majority of the public.

Anyway, I appreciate your OP, just thought I'd share that. I think I share common ground on most if not all of the topics listed, and sometimes I even wear pants.

Some feminists have NO sense of humor. I hope we are able to tweak feminists, also. (I am a woman, if that makes a lick of difference...)

But I did want to comment on this OP, and how refreshing it is.
