Huge Rally in Pakistan for Women’s Rights

Tens of thousands of women rallied in Pakistan's southern port city of Karachi Sunday to call for improved rights and gender equality.

Organizers of the event called “Empowered Women – Stronger Pakistan” said more than half a million female activists and supporters of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement political party took part, while local media reported up to a million participants. The exact number could not be independently verified.

I wonder why they couldn't get a count. Must have been huge!

Usually means that whoever is doing the counting really doesn't want to admit how many they counted.

We saw this with the anti-war rallies just before the Iraq war, too. They would say that a couple thousand were there and then pictures show there were much much more than that (100s of thousands).

Good for the women of Pakistan!
