and I was dismayed to hear some time back from a DU'er here that in Pennsylvania where she was there was constant negative TV ads from the Trump campaign vs. but one negative ad from the Harris campaign (hitting Trump on Project 2025) that she was seeing. There should have been ads constantly driving home that 28 women have accused the POS of sexual harassment/sexual abuse/rape and he was convicted in a NY Court of sexual assault. Instead I gather there was nothing said about this in the ads run by the Harris campaign.
The POS said this:
"I moved on her, and I failed. I'll admit it. I did try and fuck her. She was married. And I moved on her very heavily. In fact, I took her out furniture shopping. She wanted to get some furniture. I said, "I'll show you where they have some nice furniture." I took her out furnitureI moved on her like a bitch . .. You know I'm automatically attracted to beautifulI just start kissing them. It's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait. And when you're a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab 'em by the pussy. You can do anything"
His above words showed he had the mindset for such abuse which he carried out.
Anyhow, here is a video about International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women:

(4,381 posts)its the way it has been all along... it just went more quiet and ignored by media and press. But we women are our own worst enemies for whatever reason. If not, we'd have all done Lysistrata until things changed in our favor. Because sex seems to be the only thing most men understand - especially the "not getting it."

(4,381 posts)I've not been as long as you have been, but with my medical issues (and hubby's) it's been quite a while for us. This is where marrying your best friend comes in handy. Friendship outlasts everything!

(2,830 posts)I haven't missed them. Too many of them were raised to have their mothers do all the cooking and cleaning, and they also seem to think they are entitled to call the shots regarding making decisions. I have no desire to be dominated.
At my age, I don't expect any of this to change. The results of this election killed off any glimmer of hope that men will improve.
