CALL JANE (2022) - You are not alone (Watch the movie.)

This forum is called the Democratic Underground. I feel it is time for women to start their own underground culture for organizing, and support for others and not wait until it is too late for us to help each other.

CALL JANE is just one story that happened in 1968. Even though these women were functioning in secret and fear of discovery, they were not living in an authoritarian society.

We start now. This is not a drill!
Sorry! I could not find this movie totally for free on line without having to REGISTER with one's personal information. Just saying.................

There is also an HBO documentary about this. I know you can watch it on Max. I told my husband that this is what us women will be doing again.

and in other documentaries, the Janes were featured prominently. Yes... it's going to be time to do the Underground thing for women, much as it was done for Blacks in the days of slavery. These are the days of involuntary servitude of women. The police and the military will be against us and working for the government. But in some ways, with meds, we might be in a better place than the original Janes. I'm just not smart enough to think of all the contingencies.

I have for years recommended that all women watch the film "Rain without Thunder"... I watched it a couple of years back and it hit me as hard as it did the first time I saw it. We ARE living it now, especially when they start restricting women's movement across state lines (and it will come to be!). This came out long before Handmaid's Tale, and as good as that movie/show is, I can't recommend it over Rain without Thunder. The latter will hit you in the gut with how prophetic it actually was for it's time.
