Uganda: two women arrested for kissing; could face life sentence

https://www.theguardian.com/global-development/2026/feb/26/women-arrested-uganda-kissing-public-lgbtq-laws

Wendy Faith and Alesi Diana Denise were caught kissing in public.

They could face life in prison.

The "Reverend" Scott Lively, of the U.S., is indirectly responsible for this. He traveled to Uganda and preached so much homophobia that they passed laws which make homosexuality an arrestable crime. Some individuals may even face the death penalty. That's not the case this time, but still, an arrest followed by a possible life sentence is an incredible offense against human rights.

How fucking UN-EVOLVED humanity is when prison is a reality for simple human behavior.

This shit is so fucked up.

I would bet even money the "Reverend" Scott Lively is a closet homosexual. Hypocrite.

Didn't Jesus say "he who is without sin cast the first stone"?

Is the reverend without sin? Flys in the face of biblical teaching that all of us are sinners.

I believe Scott Lively, wherever he is now, should be arrested. It is not a crime to have a religion, but it is definitely a crime to cause other human beings to go to jail or even *lose their lives* just because they do certain stuff in bed.

That god's apparently hiding in his holy bunker somewhere, maybe in another dimension.

Unfortunately his hateful followers are here on earth.

( If you don't worship a cruel and capricious god then I'm not talking about you... )
