Numerous Right-wing political observers went after Chick-fil-A after the chicken sandwich chain announced its renewed commitment to publicly embracing diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace.
Chick-fil-A put out a statement on Tuesday to speak about its company mission to care for customers and employees alike, a purpose they summarize as Better at Together.
We understand that the path toward Better at Together looks different for every business, the statement says. (35,763 posts)If I need a greasy chicken sandwich fix, there's nothing better than Popeye's Spicy Chicken Sandwich. It's the best. I get a craving about every 6 months or so, lol.

(2,259 posts)This is lip service. If they actually DO something - stop closing Sunday, welcome all genders (including paying for health insurance for all reproductive and gender affirming surgery, etc.) - then maybe people who actually like rancid pickle chicken might think of eating there.

(22,767 posts)It was well over a decade ago, at least before the reports of them supporting and donating to international anti-LGBT causes and laws. Both times the chicken sandwich was soggy, and I ate it right away, not like I waited til I got home.
I also don't remember it tasting all that spectacular. And yet, the one closest to us, which is right next door to a Popeye's, backs up street traffic with their drive-thru service - even with 2 lanes and employees out there taking orders.
No accounting for taste, I guess.
