The Republicans' concept of womens' rights

Congressional Republicans Introduce Anti-Trans “Women’s Bill of Rights”
https://www.metroweekly.com/2022/06/congressional-republicans-introduce-anti-trans-womens-bill-of-rights/

Last month, congressional Republicans introduced a House resolution that recognizes a person’s “biological sex” as a distinct legal category deserving of certain protections.

The resolution, dubbed the “Women’s Bill of Rights,” affirms that, for legal purposes, “sex” means only a person’s biological sex — either male or female — at birth, and distinctly defines the terms “woman,” “girl,” and “mother” as referring to humans assigned female at birth while “man,” “boy,” and “father” refer to humans assigned male at birth.

The House version of the resolution — introduced by U.S. Reps. Debbie Lesko (R-Ariz.), Jim Banks (R-Ind.), Diana Harshbrger (R-Tenn.), and Mary Miller (R-Ill.), has 15 co-sponsors, while the Senate version of the resolution has three sponsors — Send. Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Miss.), Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.), and Ted Cruz (R-Texas).

The resolution is based on so-called “model legislation” — crafted by the right-wing organizations Independent Women’s Law Center and Independent Women’s Voice, and the radical feminist organization Women’s Liberation Front — that outlines certain rights and protections for those assigned female at birth. The resolution has been endorsed by several Republican congressional candidates, author Abigail Shrier, known best for her opposition to transgender-affirming policies, and socially conservative groups like Concerned Women for America.

These types take away a woman’s right to health care. to play sports, to feel safe when out in public, with their maniacal embrace of gun and death culture. Then they make up this totally unnecessary bullshit and call it “Women’s Rights.” How does any woman support this drivel??

No. That's not true. There's nothing funny about this and I'm angry and scared and sick of it all.

To hell with the next person who calls this a "culture war" or "a waste of our energy". These motherfuckers are trying to get us all killed - either with laws like this, or denying healthcare, or "groomers".

I am tired of being in the crosshairs daily. And, no world... They aren't doing it to gain votes. They're doing it to ruin us. The cruelty is the point.

I wish someone would drill it into their heads (literally?)... I am a woman! What about my rights?

Good lord, everyone... Seriously.. I felt safer on 9/11 than I feel in 2022. I'm serious.

First off, anyone who claims to care about women or want to protect them would leave us the hell alone.

You want to protect women? Here's some real issues that affect women everyday that I hear no one (neither the QOP or the "We need cooler heads" Democrats) speaking of: Wage inequality. Sexism. Sexual harassment. Domestic violence. Insufficient maternal leave. Attacks on Roe. Attacks on Planned Parenthood. Rape. Lack of justice on rapes. A legal system that basically leaves the victim feeling like they're on trial. Victim-blaming for rape. The baby formula shortage. Murder.

Here are issues that truly do not hurt women: Trans women identifying or living as women. Trans women receiving gender-affirming care. Trans women playing sports.

We all know what the QOP has done to help with that first list... absolutely nothing! Not a thing! If anything, they've made it all worse for women! They do nothing to protect women in the workplace, or women at home, or women - period!

And of course I see the usual list of ratface fucks sponsoring and supporting this. Hey, Cancun Cruz... How about doing something about school shootings in Texas or the power grid issues?! Hey, Cindy Hyde-Bitch... How about taking a stand on the attacks on women that your party leads the charge on when they're not trying to legislate me to my death?!

HEY, QOP?! WE. ARE. WOMEN!

I'm sick of these fascists. I'm beyond sick! The party of "small government" sure loves to ENORMOUS government my life! The party of "privacy" can't stand the hell out of my underwear or my bedroom! And the party of "freedom" is sure trying to take all of mine away - if not end my life!

Fuck the QOP. Fuck TERFs.

They need to quit terrorizing women and terrorizing me!

Reading this article and this post finally angered me enough to fire off an email to my Representative this morning. Fortunately, he's a Democrat, a progressive and LGBTQ himself.
