Creative Speculation

On the night of July 23 and the morning of July 24, a revolving UFO was spotted above Embu São Paulo, Brazil, according to footage posted on YouTube.
According to Projeto Quartzo Azul, a Brazilian UFO website, there were multiple witnesses on the scenesome took photos and others shot videos. The YouTube video includes footage from four different witnesses.
The object has a blue light at its center, surrounded by a circle of flashing white lights with smaller faint red ones between them.
It spins in a clockwise direction and appears to shoot out fire around one minute into the video. When filmed from the side on, the UFO has a blue glow.
It appears at times as the center orb becomes larger causing the southernmost bottom orb become brighter as each one passes in orbit.
Then there's this one which occurred in 1997 over Phoenix AZ. At about 1:12 into the video it appears you can see the objects rapidly speeding into alignment, although this may be due from camera shake, but the corresponding vocal audio suggests the listeners saw it that way as well. Both of these cases as far as I could tell are still unresolved.

(11,070 posts)I speculate that the first one is a hoax:
The "Phoenix lights" in the second video were almost certainly flares dropped from a military plane, but there were other UFOs reported, e.g. a huge V-shaped one.

(12,229 posts)the first video:
As for the lights over Phoenix, I saw a program on the Science Channel in which a film expert overlaid the video of the lights onto a daylight photo taken from the exact place the video was shot. In the daylight photo, the mountains in the distance were visible, and as the video played over the photo, each of the lights vanished as they dropped past the top of the mountain. The lights were probably flares dropped by airplanes.

(11,070 posts)It's the UFO that's fake. Apparently, you (and Viva_La_Revolution) didn't watch the video in post #2.

Interesting.
The China Government has been doing alot of testing of aircraft. Is it posible Brazil has sold them airspace to perform thier experiements?

(62,444 posts)Naturally China, with a huge desert area in which to test aircraft, would prefer to ship them to the east coast of South America in order to test them.

None of this explains what I saw though.
I was floating on my back in a pool away from city lights relaxing after a long day when I saw a faint light like a star moving across the sky. After a while I realized it was covering a LOT of the night sky to have been a high flying jet and thought to myself, "Cool! It's got to be a satellite!" which made sense because it was travelling due north which would fit a polar orbit mapping mission like NASA's Landstat. Then I remembered when the family went out to watch the Telstar satellite go over our back yard. It was about then the object I was watching made a perfect 90 degree turn without slowing down as it headed due west....
So there I am, floating in the pool and thinking, ".........okayyyy,.......riiiiiight,........gotcha,.....uh huh....."
