He's 81 years old with a concussion. No such thing as a "simple fall" for most at that age hlthe2b Mar 2023 #3

Blood thinners and a smack on the head is not good. We would do CT scans to look for blood mitch96 Mar 2023 #13

and while I won't specifically diagnose him I do suspect he is being treated for a number of contributing issues.

If you look at the pics of him with bruises, it's pretty characteristic of someone on blood thinners. A fall on blood thinners is no joke, especially if he suffered a concussion. Staying in the hospital for a concussion is rather unusual. If I had to bet, I'd say there's much more to this than we are aware.

Possible intracranial bleed, Subdural Hematoma might be something they are looking for. I doubt a epidural hematoma as that is a killer. Very fast buildup of blood in the brain. Subdurals are slow. Either way I think they are sitting on him in the hospital just to be on the safe side.

Any fall and we had to take my husband to the ER. Some things didn’t even show up then. We discovered the bleeds later with the next fall. Falling with a blood thinner is dangerous and not to be taken lightly.

the blood thinner due to the concussion. Now they are assessing to determine when it will be safe to restart them.
Or
Testing to determine cause of fall. Stroke/Mini-stroke, heart issue etc

Why is this important? It sounds a lot like "Why is Fetterman still in the hospital?"

I hope that he both recovers and retires. In fact, of all Americans, there are only two who's deaths I would celebrate.
