Creative Speculation
Related: About this forumThere could be a "LANDSLIDE" in this election in our favor. Three factors are:
1. Young Voters, 2. People who support Abortion, 3. WomenThat is the key to our landslide. (if there is a "landslide"?)
If all those in the 3 groups show up..(or most) we will win in a "LANDSLIDE"

(9,167 posts)Also how many repugs were turned off by Jan 6th and have either defected or will not vote.
And Covid probably has killed more recalcitrant red voters than normal

(9,761 posts)The optics of armed "poll monitors" in military garb utilizing surveillance equipment is not a good one. Neither is off-the-rails rallies, or making light of or actually applauding a violent attack on an elderly man whose second-in-command-to-presidential-succession wife happened to be the intended target.

(2,056 posts)Eisenhower said that the Republicans who wanted to end social programs were "few in number" and "stupid". By Reagan's time big cutbacks to Social Security were not only made, but they didn't destroy his reputation. By Bush the Second it was openly discussed that Social Security funds should be sent to Wall Street to "invest". Now powerful Republicans are openly talking about "reviewing" Social Security, or putting it on a list to be "sunsetted" in five years. I realize that the cool pundits, who would never personally have to rely on Social Security anyway, all say that the Republicans would never get rid of Social Security. It should be remembered that it was said that the supreme court would never pick the president, that the Republicans would never refuse to give even a hearing to a Democratic president's supreme court nominee, that Roe would never be overturned. I'll believe that the Republicans won't get rid of Social Security when Ike rises out of his grave and takes back his party.

(53,465 posts)I had a difficult time finding deaths for 65 and older for the years 2016 to 2021. I could only find 2019 with 2,117,332. But figuring roughly 60% of 2019 number likely voted for the idiot it is 1,270,000 or nearly 9 million.
Add another factor. Covid. A recent report indicated that deaths were 76% higher for Republicans.
Another factor would be voters not voting because they think it is rigged.
These are the voters that don't show up.
Then there is more oversight on polling places. What those idiots fail to understand is that it makes it more difficult to commit election fraud when election workers are working hard to keep it clean.
