Could some conspiracy theories be part of a conspiracy theory?

I was talking to a co-worker last week who brought up a "conspiracy theory" that I have an open mind about, then segwayed to the power behind the politicians, I've got an open mind there also (after all WTF are the Koch Bros ect..), but then she went into how all Presidents up to Trump were controlled by the PBP, and Trump was the first who wasn't controlled by them. I told her that was idiotic, and Trump is a moron likely beholden to Putin's Russia, she said that may be but neither he nor Russia were controlled by the evil, behind the scenes cabal and told me I had "Trump Derangement Syndrome" with a chuckle. She is very highly educated, and I never saw her as a Trumper! She also said that she believed a lot of people around the Clintons had been "suicided". WTF????? That old RW crap?

I hate to sound ultra tin-foil-hat, but sometimes I wonder if some of the "standard" conspiracy theories are being used and enlarged by Russia as another aspect of creating chaos, taking what is always out there and driving it down the road in whatever way they want?

I call the alt-left. Clinton Derangement drives all of these people. I don't know why. But it seems the edges have swung so far, that they're meeting in the middle of true insanity.

I made a post the other day in GD forum. I go on to describe that how Trump Derangement Syndrome is not a person who calls out all of Trump's bullshit. Instead, it's the people who are unable to see what he is doing and how it's being done. I also say we need to hijack that word and turn it around on the very people who came up with it.

I'm not obsessed with Trump in the normal sense of a person being obsessed. I'm just so incensed that he is able to do this and people who are in his cult of personality are unable to see it. That its somehow a witchhunt, or a great liberal conspiracy.
