That is the headline from an 8/7/24 report from Reuters. It is open to debate what the practical effect would be of Turkey making this move beyond the pressure of the PR. However these "diplomatic/political" conflicts have increased of late rather than subsided.

"Israel cancels accreditation of Norwegian diplomats to Palestinian areas" is the headline of a Reuters report dated 8/8/24 and indicates that Israel is fighting back on the diplomatic front and states it has made the move because it feels Norway is being "One sided" on the Palestinian issue. the Norwegian Foreign Minister has said there will be a response. Usually these responses can be things like ordering a few personnel of the party you're mad at to leave the country and it can escalate from there but I would be surprised if it is more than that at this stage.

(5,539 posts)around the world there is nothing more subject to "political will/lack thereof" than having nations live up to enforcement of international humanitarian law regarding other nations. In the case of Russia it should have happened years ago over some of their other "escapades". An inconvenient subject for the US is our own doorstep regarding things like the invasion of Iraq.
