This is a follow-up on the report of an attack on Israeli Palestinian students that was posted a couple of days ago on DU.
The post led to a large crowd gathering outside the student dormitories in Netanya and demanding the Arab students leave.
The post titled "Only Arabs Possess Terror" was cited by police as the cause of unrest at student dormitories in the city.
Officers from the Netanya police station have arrested the suspect for questioning for attempted rioting, along with obstructing a police officer and attempting to cause damage to a building in the city.
The suspect was detained and sent to the police station for questioning.

Israel ptotects its citizens no matter their ethnicity. So much for the "ethnic cleansing" bullshit.

(36,044 posts)Some org in Helsinki (or at least Finland) helped coordinate penpals. Lost touch with her.
(The one in Hong Kong, "Maggie," after a couple of years wanted to know when I'd propose ... I was a junior in high school, had a steady girlfriend I assumed I'd propose to in later years but never did ... You know, that letter went entirely unanswered, and the follow ups from her were unopened.)
(The one in Regensburg ... Never actually got started. I wrote. In English. She wrote. In German. I spent a day doing an interlinear gloss of her letter, answered--maybe I got the gloss right using my high school's German dictionary. Didn't hear back. Language unites; language divides.)
Hadn't thought about the Netanya penpal until 10/8 or 10/9 ... Had Israeli friends at university that were more of a concern ... I wonder whatever happened to her, though. Don't even remember her name and high school ended for me 46 years back. Had trouble even remembering where she's from--had a vivid impression of oranges trying to get to the town name, and remembered a stamp I had when I collected stamps that honored Netanya also had oranges on it. Neural net settled down at that point.
I'd like to think we'd agree. Hamas must vanish from the pages of history and a way to peace after the warmonger/genocides are gone found. But for all I know she was one of the "settlers" in "settlements" in the original UN-allocated territory--hence in no way "settlers" or "settlements," but for those that want a Palestine that's voellig Judenrein.
