Washington and Tokyo (CNN) Angst, unease and outrage are spreading through corners of the Biden administration as Israeli forces show no signs of letting up their relentless attacks inside Gaza and the civilian death toll in the besieged enclave already in the thousands continues to climb.
One month into the Israel-Hamas war, some senior officials privately say there are aspects of Israels military operations they simply cannot stomach defending; calls for the US to back a ceasefire are growing among government employees; and others are distraught by the incessant images of Palestinian civilians being killed by Israeli airstrikes, multiple sources told CNN.
It has created great moral anxiety, said one senior administration official. But no one can say it because we all work at the pleasure of the president and hes all in.
This week, a divide emerged between the US and Israel over the future of Gaza after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu suggested in an interview Israel would have responsibility for security in Gaza for an indefinite period. On Wednesday, Secretary of State Antony Blinken reiterated US opposition to any reoccupation of the Gaza Strip but did allow that there may be a need for some transition period at the end of the conflict.

(3,281 posts)Get rid of anyone in this government who doesn't support Israel, for my money.
Treat anyone with a good word to say for Hamas or who doubts that Israel is fighting a just battle for its very existence as a potential terrorist as far as I am concerned.
Hamas fucked with the bull, and is getting the horns; any collateral damage is entirely the responsibility of Hamas and the countries in that area that won't accept the Palestinians when that entire area becomes part of Israel.

"When that entire area becomes part of Israel".
Wonder if Nuttyyahoo neglected to mention that wee detail to President Biden a month ago?
Talk about fucking with a bull, wait till the U.S. can no longer deny it was duped by this lying asshole and his gang of extreme Zionist liars.
Peace.

Israel will no more every stop until every last bit of 'ancient Israel' is under their control than some elements of their enemies will ever stop until there is no Jewish control of any of the land in the area. Neither side will stop until they 'win' any more than the United States would have stopped before we had control from one coast to another.
