1. I've heard this bullshit from a number of european friends

a) Donny dipshit will force a peace deal
b) EU and NATO will step up and contribute more to Ukraine
c) Russia will be happy with the territory it has or perhaps even give some back...

a - Donny Dipshit is the worst "deal maker" in history. Putin is ex-KGB. Which one is more intelligent? And would Ukraine ever consider giving up it's industrial base... not to mention a lot of resources located in now occupied Ukraine?

b - Eu and Nato have never been that good about hanging together. Witness Brexit. Not to mention WW2 and Neville Chamberlain and "Peace in Our Time". Quisling became a term meaning traitor BECAUSE a person named Quisling gave Norway over the Germany early in the war.

c - Russia under Putin has never shown any ability to keep to any deal made with them and territory they controlled as part of the USSR. Putin, while not a communist but a kleptocrat, has made no secret that he want the former glory of the USSR... to have a land mass and population like the Communist bloc of a generation ago.

As the MP from Ukraine keeps pointing out... would YOU make a deal with someone that comes into your home and kills your children just to save yourself or maybe another child? Or would you fight to the death?
