In this video I discuss the recent movements in the Chinese Stock Markets. The CSI 300 has performed poorly over the past 3 1/2 years and was recently trading at its lowest level for 5 years. In order to address this the Chinese Authorities announced a Stimulus Package on 24th September and following this the Stock Market Index rose more than 30% in less than 2 weeks. However the Stimulus looks to have lost its power and over the past 5 days the markets have fallen by around 13%. In this video I look in more detail at the Stimulus Measures, the movements in the markets, what has been happening over the past 5 years and discuss the implications of all of this for the Chinese Economy.
